Offering sea kayak tours, rentals, and lessons in Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia. They  are minutes from Mahone Bay, and in the best kayaking location in Nova Scotia. Come and experience the calm, protected, and beautiful water of Blue Rocks, which has more islands per paddle stroke than anywhere. Islands make paddling trips great and there are dozens of beautiful, uninhabited islands to explore.  An added bonus is around every corner there are things to see. There is a seal colony with grey and harbour seals, scores of birds, sea creatures and mammals hiding on the islands.  Blue Rocks is quintessentially Nova Scotian.

Whale Watching

Pack the binoculars and camera, bring plenty of film and prepare for an unparalleled ocean adventure off Nova Scotia's southern coast. Join Capt. Walter T. Flower Jr. for an exciting, three-hour, whale watching tour of the North Atlantic.

The whales are magnificent. Sometimes so close, you can touch them. There are fin, pilot, minke and the favoured humpback whales. They lunge and dive and blow. And there are dolphins, ocean sun fish, giant blue fin tuna and leatherback turtles; and birds - puffins, razorbills, terns, black guillemot, petrels, shearwaters and gannets. On our return trip a reef reveals a large population of seals basking in the sun.

Deep Sea Fishing

Leave the scenic harbor of historic Lunenburg aboard the "Islander VI" bound for the pristine waters of the North Atlantic for a fun half-day of fishing. After sailing by the lighthouse at the entrance to Lunenburg you will then pass by the Ovens Caves.

Guests are then told to keep an eye out for dolphins, whales, and the occasional giant ocean sunfish, or Bluefin Tuna!  They will provide you with bait, rods and reels. Their fishing gear consists of Penn Pursuit rods with Penn 309 level wind reels loaded with 30lb test line. Avid anglers are welcome to bring their own tackle.
Also available are traditional handlines if you would like to try to fish the old fashioned way.  Fish caught are Cod, Mackerel, Dog Fish, Haddock, Halibut, Pollock or Wolf Fish.

Lunenburg Walking Tour

At Lunenburg Walking Tours, they will provide visitors to the UNESCO World Heritage Site town ~ (one of only two such urban sites in North America ), an educational and fun introduction to the history, architecture, and culture of this fascinating community.   They promise it will be a great foundation for the rest of your stay and, if you are like many others, you’ll be saying, “I wish we’d planned more time here.” They offer both daytime and evening tours, along with options to personalize your experience.
